Tender Description
The Education Works Division Korangi Karachi invites bids for the construction of an additional floor at the SE&R Complex located in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi East under ADP No. 257 of 2026-27. This project involves comprehensive civil works including dismantling, reinforced cement concrete work, block masonry, plastering, flooring with porcelain tiles, UPVC framing, iron grills, painting, and other associated finishing works. The scope also includes woodwork and false ceiling installation, water supply and sanitary fittings, and non-schedule items such as artificial grass lawn laying and fiber sheet wall panels.
Items being procured:
- Dismantling cement concrete reinforced and block masonry
- Reinforced cement concrete work for roof slab, beams, columns
- Fabrication and fixing of deformed steel reinforcement
- Cement concrete solid block masonry walls
- Erection and removal of centering for RCC
- Cement plastering and floating coat
- Porcelain tile flooring
- UPVC channel framing for doors and windows
- Iron steel grills and collapsible gates
- Painting and weather coating
- Damp proof course
- Various finishing works including notice boards, stainless steel railings, and door closers
- Water supply and sanitary fittings including W.C. pans, wash basins, pipes, valves, and tanks
The technical scope requires the use of quality materials and workmanship as per PWD specifications and includes all necessary site preparations, safety measures, and compliance with local regulations. Bidders must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category, have valid FBR and SRB registration, and demonstrate experience in similar works. Earnest money of Rs. 6.2 million is required along with a tender fee of Rs. 5,000. The contract duration is 24 months.
Bids must be submitted via the EPAD portal in separate technical and financial envelopes by 11:00 AM on 5th October 2026. The bid opening will take place the same day at 11:30 AM at the office of the Executive Engineer, Education Works District Korangi Karachi, Special Education Complex, Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
