Tender Description
The Punjab Irrigation Department, through the Office of The Executive Engineer Khangarh Canal Division Muzaffargarh, invites e-bids for the construction of the Chander Bhan Flood Bund on River Chenab. This significant civil works project involves the construction of a flood protection bund designed to safeguard the surrounding areas from river flooding. The estimated cost of this project is a substantial Rs. 2716.873 Million, reflecting the scale and importance of the work.

The project requires experienced contractors licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category and registered on the Punjab e-Procurement System. Bidders must attach valid PEC registration for the year 2026-27, along with government receipts for professional tax, CNIC, and Punjab Revenue Authority registration for the same year. The technical scope includes all civil works necessary to complete the flood bund by the stipulated completion date of 30.06.2027.
Bidders are required to submit their bids electronically via the Punjab e-Procurement System. Manual bids or submissions by any other means will not be accepted. A 2% bid security of the estimated cost must be submitted digitally through the E-Pay system via 1-Link or Bank Guarantee from any scheduled bank in Pakistan. The bid security must be transmitted to the Bank of Punjab (BOP) via SWIFT on MT 760. The lowest bidder will be required to deposit a performance guarantee of 10% of the bid amount via PSID generated by the Punjab e-Procurement System.
The deadline for bid submission is 21.08.2026 at 1:00 PM, with the tender opening scheduled for the same day at 1:30 PM in the Committee Room of Irrigation Secretariat, Government of the Punjab Irrigation Department Lahore. Bidders or their authorized representatives must attend the opening session.
