Tender Description
The National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC) is procuring comprehensive construction and completion of civil works along with erection, stringing, testing, and commissioning of a 220 kV double circuit transmission line. This project spans from Mohmand Dam Hydropower Plant (HPP) to the 500/220/132 kV Sheikh Muhammadi Substation, located in the Punjab region, specifically managed from Lahore. The scope is divided into two lots: Lot-I covers approximately 56 kilometers from Mohmand Dam HPP to Jamrud, and Lot-II covers about 42 kilometers from Jamrud to Sheikh Muhammadi Substation.
The technical scope includes all civil construction activities, transmission line erection, stringing of conductors, and full testing and commissioning to ensure operational readiness. Bidders must be well-versed in high voltage transmission line projects and possess relevant PEC categories for civil and electrical works. Firms should also be registered with FBR and on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) with proven experience in similar scale projects.
Bidding documents with detailed terms and conditions are available on the NGC website and e-PADS portal. The submission deadline is **20th July 2026 at 11:00 AM PST**, with bids to be submitted electronically via e-PADS. Original bid security must be delivered to the Chief Engineer (MP&M) at the 8th Floor, Shaheen Complex, Egerton Road, Lahore before the deadline. Technical bids will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM PST.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure strict compliance with the two-envelope procedure and timely submission of original bid security to avoid disqualification. Early preparation of technical and financial bids aligned with NGCβs specifications will enhance chances of success.
