Tender Description
The Military Engineer Services (MES) at Garrison Engineer (Army) II Malir Karachi is procuring various construction and repair works within Malir Cantt. This tender covers a range of civil works including provision of certain facilities, construction of miscellaneous and minor works, repair, renovation, and maintenance of residential and non-residential buildings, as well as technical construction (TC) and electrical & mechanical (E&M) works across multiple zones within the area of responsibility.
The scope includes TC B&R works at Zones A, B, and C, DC B&R works at Zones A and B, and supply of bazar materials for both B&R and E&M items. Each work package is estimated up to Rs. 4 million, with some smaller packages at Rs. 2.5 million. Contractors must have relevant experience and be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in categories A, B, C, D, or E. Firms not on the approved MES list must provide detailed statements of previous work executed in the last two years.
Applicants must be registered with FBR and ATL and provide a certificate confirming no litigation or outstanding issues with government departments. Tender documents will be issued only to pre-qualified contractors who meet the technical and legal requirements. The tender submission deadline is 06 May 2026 by 11:30 AM, with opening at 12:00 PM on the same day at the MES office in Malir.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all technical and financial documents are complete and submitted well before the deadline to avoid disqualification. Also, obtaining the tender documents early after pre-qualification will allow sufficient time to prepare a competitive bid. This tender offers a significant opportunity for contractors with PEC registration and experience in civil and electrical works in Karachi.
