Tender Description
The National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC) invites bids for the construction of a residential colony and allied civil works at the 220KV Grid Station NGC Dhabeji, located in Sindh. This project involves comprehensive civil construction activities including excavation, concrete works, masonry, plumbing, electrical installations, landscaping, and furnishing as detailed in the Bill of Quantities and contract documents. The scope covers all necessary site preparation, material procurement, and construction in accordance with WAPDA/NGC standard specifications and drawings provided by the Employer. The project requires bidders to be licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-3 with relevant codes and to be on the Active Taxpayers List of the Federal Board of Revenue and Provincial Revenue Authority. Experience criteria include successful completion of similar civil works contracts totaling at least PKR 481 Million within the last ten years. The bid security is set at PKR 9.65 Million, and bids must be submitted through the e-PADS system by 02-06-2026 at 11:00 AM, with original bid security submitted physically before the deadline. Technical bids will be opened publicly on the same day at 11:30 AM at the Chief Engineer (MP&M) NGC office in Lahore. Bidders are advised to carefully review all bidding documents, inspect the site, and ensure compliance with all requirements including submission of a detailed construction schedule, method statements, and financial data. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of original bid security and complete documentation through e-PADS to avoid disqualification. The contract includes provisions for mobilization advance, performance security, and detailed quality and safety requirements. This tender represents a significant opportunity for qualified civil contractors to contribute to a key infrastructure project in Sindh with a contract value of approximately PKR 481 Million.
