Tender Description
The AJK Power Development Organization in Muzaffarabad is procuring consultancy services for conducting a comprehensive feasibility study focused on identifying solar, wind, and geothermal energy corridors within Azad Jammu & Kashmir. This initiative aims to explore renewable energy potential in the region, supporting sustainable development and energy diversification.
The technical scope involves detailed analysis and assessment of energy corridors, requiring consultants or joint ventures with valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration in the appropriate category. The study will cover technical, environmental, and economic feasibility aspects, ensuring alignment with regional energy goals.
Interested bidders must be registered with PEC and have relevant experience in energy sector consultancy. Firms must also provide an affidavit confirming they are not blacklisted and have no conflicts with government entities in AJ&K or Pakistan. A bid security of PKR 2 million in the form of CDR or bank draft is mandatory, payable to the Deputy Director (Planning) of the AJK Power Development Organization.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) documents can be obtained from the office of the Deputy Director (Planning) during working hours until 19 May 2026 upon submission of a written request and payment of a non-refundable fee of PKR 5,000. Technical proposals must be submitted by 25 May 2026 at 1400 hours, with opening scheduled the same day at 1430 hours in the presence of bidders’ representatives.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure the bid security and all required documents are included in the technical bid to avoid outright rejection. Timely submission and compliance with AJK PPRA rules will enhance chances of success in this competitive procurement.
