Tender Description
The Irrigation Department Government of Sindh Karachi is procuring consultancy services for a detailed study, assessment, and design of rehabilitation and improvement of the existing underground drainage scheme of Scarp and LBOD in Sindh. This consultancy assignment is critical for enhancing the drainage infrastructure to ensure effective water management and flood control in the region.
The technical scope involves comprehensive evaluation of the current drainage system, preparation of design improvements, and provision of expert advice on rehabilitation measures. The consultancy will require experienced professionals capable of conducting field assessments, hydrological studies, and preparing detailed technical and financial proposals. The assignment is based in Karachi, Sindh, and requires familiarity with local conditions and regulatory frameworks.
Eligible firms should have relevant PEC categories, be registered with FBR and ATL, and demonstrate prior experience in similar consultancy projects. The procurement will follow the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method as per Sindh Public Procurement Rules 2010. Interested bidders must prepare a technical bid and financial proposal, ensuring compliance with all tender requirements including Earnest Money and CDR submission.
The submission deadline is set for 14th June 2024 by 23:59:59. Proposals must be submitted to the Executive Engineer Research Division, Karachi. Bidders are advised to carefully review the Request for Proposal documents and attend any pre-proposal conferences if scheduled. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all technical staff CVs are up-to-date and highlight relevant project experience, as this will be critical during the technical evaluation phase.
This tender offers a valuable opportunity for consultancy firms specializing in water resource management and infrastructure rehabilitation to contribute to a significant public sector project in Sindh.
