Tender Description
The Embassy of Pakistan in Cairo is seeking professional consultancy services for the external renovation of its Chancery Building located at 8 El Saluli Street, Dokki, Giza. This procurement is issued by the Embassy of Pakistan Cairo and targets qualified consultancy firms capable of delivering comprehensive engineering consultancy for renovation works.
Items being procured:
- Comprehensive inspection of the external condition of the Chancery Building
- Assessment of façades, external walls, decorative elements, windows, entrance areas, exposed concrete members, roof-level structures, and visible service installations
- Identification of structural and non-structural defects including cracks, deterioration, moisture damage, loose finishes, corrosion, and other defects
- Preparation of complete technical specifications for all proposed renovation works
- Recommendations for repair methodologies and finishing systems suitable for the existing building
- Recommendations for suitable exterior finishing materials such as exterior paints, decorative protective coatings, stone cladding, or equivalent approved systems
- Preparation of all architectural details required for execution
- Preparation of detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) covering all proposed renovation works
- Provision of detailed cost estimates based on prevailing Egyptian market rates
- Preparation of item descriptions suitable for competitive tendering
- Preparation of complete Tender Documents including technical specifications, BOQs, scope of works, tender drawings (where required), method of measurement, contractor technical requirements, and evaluation criteria
- Technical support including responding to clarifications during tendering, reviewing contractors' technical submissions, and providing recommendations during contractor evaluation
The scope covers a detailed technical and architectural assessment and design for the external renovation of the Embassy Chancery Building. The consultancy firm must have relevant experience in building renovation consultancy, preferably with international or embassy projects. Firms should be registered with FBR and have a valid PEC category suitable for consultancy services. The assignment requires professional engineering standards and adherence to accepted engineering practices.
The final submission is due within 14 working days from the date of receipt of the assignment letter. Bidders should ensure timely submission and maintain communication with the Embassy for any clarifications. The submission method and contact details are to be confirmed by the Embassy.
