Tender Description
The Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA), Government of Sindh, invites expressions of interest for consulting services related to the Karachi Mobility Project – Yellow Line Corridor (BRT). This procurement is specifically for the selection of firms to provide consulting services for Carbon Crediting and Monetization under the Yellow Line BRTS project in Karachi.
Items being procured:
- Consulting services for Carbon Crediting
- Consulting services for Monetization of Karachi Mobility Project – Yellow Line BRTS
The scope involves expert consultancy to support the project in achieving carbon credit certification and monetization strategies, contributing to sustainable urban transport development. The project is funded under loan number IBRD-8995-PK and aims to enhance environmental and financial outcomes through these services.
Eligible firms should have relevant experience in carbon crediting and monetization consultancy, preferably with prior work in urban transport or infrastructure projects. Firms must comply with all terms and conditions as per the original Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) published earlier. The deadline for submission has been extended to September 16th, 2026, at 1700 hours (PST).
Interested bidders should ensure timely submission of their expressions of interest to the Sindh Mass Transit Authority in Karachi. It is advisable to review the original REOI documents carefully and prepare all required documentation, including proof of relevant experience and compliance with procurement regulations.
A practical tip for bidders is to focus on demonstrating clear expertise in carbon credit mechanisms and monetization strategies, supported by case studies or previous project outcomes, to strengthen their technical proposals.
