Tender Description
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) invites experienced and eligible contractors for the conversion of an ordinary safe room into a reinforced cement concrete (RCC) strong room at its Kabal Branch in Swat. This project is part of the bank's 2025-26 financial year procurement plan and involves comprehensive civil, electrical, and security-related works to enhance the safety and security of the bank's premises.
The scope of work includes dismantling existing structures, RCC works with 3000 PSI concrete, steel reinforcement, brick masonry, plastering, internal painting, wooden door installation, false ceiling, electrical wiring and fittings, and installation of a standard strong room door with advanced locking mechanisms. The project also covers the supply and installation of approved materials and brands as per the detailed specifications and bill of quantities. The contractor must have valid PEC registration in category C-6 or above with specialization codes CE-10 and EE-04, be active on the FBR Active Taxpayer List, and have completed at least three similar projects of banks or financial institutions worth up to PKR 25 million in the last three years.
Bids must be submitted electronically through the E-PAK Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS) portal by 11:00 AM on May 21, 2026. The original bid security of PKR 40,000 must be submitted to NBP before the bid closing time. The technical bid will be evaluated based on compliance with the detailed technical specifications, experience, and financial capacity. The financial bids of technically qualified bidders will be opened subsequently. The bid validity period is 365 days. The contract will be awarded to the most advantageous bidder in accordance with the Public Procurement Rules 2004 and PPRA regulations.
Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents, including the detailed scope, technical specifications, drawings, and bill of quantities. It is recommended to visit the site to understand the conditions and requirements. One practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of the original bid security instrument to avoid disqualification. All communications and submissions must be in English and comply with the e-procurement procedures. The project completion period is 45 days from the commencement date. This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified contractors to contribute to a high-profile banking infrastructure project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
