Tender Description
The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board is procuring demolition and debris removal services specifically for unauthorized and encroached structures at Westridge Bazaar, Rawalpindi Cantt. This project involves the complete demolition of brick masonry, RCC roofs, RCC columns up to the 2nd and 3rd floors, dismantling of allied structures, and the transportation of debris to a designated dumping site approved by the Cantonment Board.
The technical scope includes hiring machinery such as excavators, tractor trolleys, and a Shawal machine for a total of 72 hours each. The contractor is responsible for site clearance, leveling, and dressing after demolition. Safety measures like barricading, warning signs, and protective fencing are mandatory to protect adjoining structures and public safety. Environmental compliance requires dust control and prohibition of waste burning.
Eligible bidders should be registered with FBR and ATL, and possess relevant experience in demolition works. PEC registration may be required as per the nature of the work. Earnest Money in the form of CDR amounting to 2% of the estimated cost is required, along with a bid performance guarantee of 5% of the annual bid amount.
The submission deadline is seven days from the publish date or as specified by the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board. Bids should be submitted to the office of the Cantonment Executive Officer, Rawalpindi Cantt. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all machinery is in good working condition and available on site throughout the contract period to avoid penalties for delay, as time is of the essence in this contract.
