Tender Description
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi invites qualified and experienced bidders to participate in the procurement of a comprehensive solar photovoltaic system at Staff Town IBA Karachi. This tender covers the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 117.12 kWp Carport Grid Tied Utility Interactive Photo Voltaic Solar Power System. The project is funded by the Government of Sindh and aims to provide a reliable, efficient, and sustainable energy solution for the campus.
Items being procured:
- 117.12 kWp N-Type or latest technology bifacial photovoltaic solar modules with 25 years warranty
- Grid-tied 3-phase inverters (110kW to 125kW) with multiple MPPTs and IP65 rating
- DC combiner boxes with 4-pole DC breakers
- DC cables, 1 core 6mm2 Cu/XLPO/XLPO
- AC power cables of various sizes
- Earthing cables and earth electrode system with resistance less than 1 ohm
- Cable trays, conduits, and associated accessories
- Installation, testing, commissioning, and operation & maintenance services for two years
The technical scope includes detailed design submissions, single line diagrams, shading analysis, grounding and bonding layouts, energy simulation reports, and compliance with IEC and ASCE standards. Bidders must have PEC registration in categories C-6, EE-04, and EE-11 (Solar), valid tax registrations, and at least three years of experience with a minimum turnover of Rs. 50 million. Completion certificates for at least two solar projects of 200 kWp or above are mandatory.
The tender follows a Single Stage Two Envelope procedure with separate technical and financial bids. The bid security is 2% of the estimated value. Tender documents are available at the Head of Procurement office, IBA Karachi, and can be downloaded from the IBA and SPPRA EPADS websites. Bids must be submitted online via SPPRA EPADS and the original bid security and documents delivered to the Security Office, Gate #4, IBA Main Campus, Karachi before the deadline.
The last date for submission is August 26, 2026, at 2:30 pm, with bid opening at 3:00 pm the same day. A site visit is scheduled for August 18, 2026, at 11:00 am at IBA Main Campus. Bidders are advised to carefully review the technical and financial requirements and ensure compliance with all conditions.
