Tender Description
Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power (Pvt.) Limited (QASPL), a public-sector company under the Government of Punjab, is procuring services for the development of a 20 MW grid-connected solar power plant at Hudiara Drain, Lahore. This project includes the installation of electric bus charging docks and supply connection to the nearby grid, reflecting a significant renewable energy initiative in Punjab.
The technical scope involves setting up a large-scale solar power plant with grid connectivity and electric vehicle infrastructure. The project requires firms or joint ventures with valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration in Category C-A or higher, with specialization codes including EE-11 and other allied electrical/energy-related codes. Both local and foreign firms may apply, but foreign firms must partner with a PEC-registered local firm. All local partners must be active with FBR and PRA, while foreign partners must provide equivalent registration proof from their country.
Interested bidders can download the Prequalification Documents (PQD) free of cost from official websites including PPRA Punjab and QASPL. A pre-application meeting is scheduled for 14-07-2026 at 11:30 AM at QASPL’s office in Lahore, which is optional but recommended for clarifications. EOIs must be submitted online via the PPRA e-procurement system by 20-07-2026 at 11:00 AM, with public opening at 11:30 AM the same day. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Bidders should ensure compliance with all registration and technical criteria, and prepare their EOIs carefully following the PQD instructions. A practical tip is to attend the pre-application meeting or review its minutes thoroughly to avoid common pitfalls and ensure a complete and compliant submission. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for firms specializing in solar energy and electrical infrastructure to participate in a high-profile renewable energy project in Lahore.
