Tender Description
This tender invites contractors in Karachi from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Parks and Horticulture Department for the development and rehabilitation of multiple parks across the city. The scope includes construction, landscaping, installation of lights, walking tracks, kids play areas, and other horticultural works in various locations such as Gulistan-e-Johar, Sohrab Goth, North Nazimabad, and Malir among others. Each project has an estimated cost of PKR 20 million, reflecting significant civil works and landscaping efforts.
The works require expertise in handling cement concrete, brick laying, RCC works, paving blocks, and installation of pre-cast kerb stones. The sites are spread across Karachi’s urban and suburban areas, presenting logistical and engineering challenges such as material transport, site preparation, and ensuring quality standards in a busy metropolitan environment. Contractors must be registered with PEC in relevant categories and possess specialized codes CE-01, CE-09, CE-10, BC-02, or CE-11.
Bidders should ensure valid PEC registration with the required category and codes, NTN and Sindh Revenue Board registration with active status, and submit audited financial reports for the last three years. Compliance with FBR/ATL status and submission of Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as bid security is mandatory. The tender follows the 2025-26 financial year guidelines and requires stamped and signed bids with all supporting documents.
The submission deadline is set for 18th March 2026 at 10:00 AM, with bid opening at 10:30 AM at the Office of the Director General Parks & Horticulture Department, KMC, Fatima Jinnah Road, Karachi. Bids must be submitted through the EPAD System Sindh and physically at the department office before opening.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender advertisement for specific stamp duty and bid security requirements, as missing these often leads to disqualification. Also, ensure all technical and financial documents are complete and properly signed to avoid rejection during evaluation.
