Tender Description
Pakistan Railways Karachi invites experienced firms registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and appearing on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to submit e-bids for important electrical and solar works at multiple railway stations within Karachi Division.
Items being procured:
- Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Three Phase Diesel Generator Sets (04 Nos of 45 kVA & 09 Nos of 25 kVA) at 13 Railway Stations
- Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning for conversion of existing grid-tied solar systems into Hybrid Solar Systems at 21 Railway Stations
The scope includes supply and commissioning of diesel generator sets and conversion of solar systems on a turnkey basis as per specifications in the bidding documents. The works cover 13 and 21 railway stations respectively within Karachi Division, requiring specialized electrical expertise and solar system integration.
Eligible firms must be registered with PEC in category C-2 or above for solar works and C-5 or above with specialization in EE-11 for diesel generator works. Firms must also be on the ATL of FBR. Bid security in the form of a Bank Guarantee, CDR, or Pay Order amounting to Rs. 940,000 for diesel generator sets and Rs. 889,300 for solar system conversion must be submitted physically before tender opening.
The tender closing dates are bolded as 31 August 2026 at 11:00 hrs for diesel generator sets and 2 September 2026 at 11:00 hrs for solar system conversion. Bids must be submitted electronically through the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) portal (www.epads.gov.pk). One sealed hard copy of the technical bid must also be submitted physically to the Divisional Accounts Officer, Pakistan Railways Karachi.
