Tender Description
Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) invites experienced and reputable courier firms and MEPCO/WAPDA approved contractors for the distribution of electricity bills under the jurisdiction of MEPCO Operation Circle Multan. This procurement covers multiple divisions including Cantt, Nawan Shehar, Industrial Estate, Mumtazabad, Mandi, Qasba Marral, City Gate, Garden Town, Wapda Town, and others within Multan city.
The contract period is for two years from July 2026 to June 2028, extendable for an additional three years based on satisfactory performance. The scope involves timely and efficient distribution of electricity bills to consumers across the specified divisions. Bidders must ensure compliance with all technical and operational requirements as detailed in the bidding documents available on EPADs.
Eligible bidders should be registered with MEPCO/WAPDA, have relevant experience in bill distribution, and must be active taxpayers registered with FBR and Punjab Revenue Authority. Submission of Income Tax Returns for the last three years is mandatory. Firms must also provide a non-judicial affidavit confirming no litigation or blacklisting by any company or department.
The bid security amounts vary by division, ranging from Rs. 400,000 to Rs. 500,000, and must be submitted in acceptable forms such as CDR, bank draft, or bank guarantee valid for 150 days after bid opening. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety bond/bank guarantee of Rs. 1,000,000. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADs by the deadline of 07 July 2026 before the specified times for each division. Manual bids will not be accepted.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the EPADs portal for detailed terms and conditions and ensure all documents, including bid security and affidavits, are properly prepared and submitted on time to avoid disqualification. Early registration on EPADs and thorough compliance with submission requirements will enhance chances of success.
