Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the supply of various electrical and mechanical components required by Pakistan Railways at the Divisional Superintendent Workshops in Moghulpura, Lahore. The procurement includes items such as PVC sheathed copper cables, rubber profiles for vehicle windows, low pressure compression rings, epoxy primers, diesel engine parts, welding plant accessories, and stainless steel flexible pipes. These components are essential for the maintenance and operational efficiency of railway machinery and infrastructure.
The scope covers a wide range of materials including electrical wiring, insulation, sealing components, and welding equipment. The site location in Lahore demands adherence to quality standards suitable for heavy industrial use and railway workshop conditions. The engineering challenges involve ensuring compatibility with existing railway equipment and meeting durability requirements under operational stresses.
Bidders should ensure compliance with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration requirements and maintain an active Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status for the fiscal year 2025-26. The tender process requires submission of earnest money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as per the bidding documents. It is advisable to review all technical specifications and terms carefully to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is set for 10th February 2026 at 10:30 AM, with bids to be physically submitted in the tender box at the office of the Divisional Superintendent Workshops, Pakistan Railways, Moghulpura. The technical bids will be opened on the same day at 11:00 AM. Only bids submitted through the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) will be entertained, ensuring transparency and security.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to check the newspaper advertisement for specific stamp duty and earnest money requirements, which are often overlooked. Also, verify that your bid documents are complete and uploaded correctly on EPADS to avoid rejection.
