Tender Description
The Directorate General Procurement (Army) located near 502 Central Base Workshop EME on Main Adyala Road Rawalpindi is inviting sealed tenders from reputed firms possessing NTN certificates for the establishment of a Mini AI Data Centre comprising 18 imported items. This procurement is specifically for the supply of advanced IT infrastructure and related equipment to support AI capabilities within the Army's operational framework.
The technical scope includes the supply of imported hardware and software components essential for the data centre setup. Firms must provide agency agreements or dealership certificates from foreign OEMs, demonstrate adequate financial capability with bank statements for the last 12 months, and submit a challan of Rs 2000/- for tender documents. The tender requires submission of CNIC, NTN, and sales tax registration documents. For price preference, firms must confirm at least 20% value addition through indigenous manufacturing.
Eligibility criteria include registration with PEC if applicable, valid FBR registration, and relevant experience in supplying similar IT infrastructure. Bid security is required as earnest money with rates varying from 2% to 5% of the quoted value depending on firm status, with maximum ceilings specified. Offers must be valid for 120 days, and performance guarantees of 10% of contract value are mandatory within 30 days of contract signing.
The tender documents specify that bids must be submitted in two separate envelopes containing technical and financial proposals respectively. The tender opening will be held at the DGP (Army) tender room in the presence of firm representatives. The last date for tender submission and opening is 5th June 2026 by 10:30 and 11:00 hours respectively.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure complete and accurate documentation, especially the dealership certificates and financial undertakings, as incomplete submissions may lead to disqualification. Early collection of tender documents and thorough review of technical specifications will enhance chances of success in this competitive procurement process.
