Tender Description
The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (Maintenance & Project / Technical Department) invites bids for the comprehensive facade facelift and restoration work of the PNSC Building located in Karachi. This procurement covers extensive civil works including scaffolding erection, tower crane installation, dismantling and removal of existing ACP and precast RCC panels, structural rehabilitation, painting, waterproofing, and architectural facade treatment.
Items being procured:
- Erection of steel pipe folding scaffolding all around the building
- Provision and operation of 280ft high tower crane
- Preparation and construction of tower crane base in basement floor
- Construction of supporting columns for podium slab
- Removal of ACP panels and precast RCC panels
- Dismantling of rooftop cantilever RCC slabs and podium slabs
- Provision and fixing of GI sheet for window protection
- Restoration of broken cantilever slabs and window lintel slabs
- Block masonry works and plastering
- Internal and external painting and waterproofing
- Reconstruction of roof cantilever slab and podium slab & beams
- Removal of RCC raft for tower crane support
- Restoration of basement floor and podium flooring
- Architectural facade treatment including anchor bolts, stainless steel supports, and installation of fire retardant A2 aluminum composite cladding panels
The scope includes temporary works such as scaffolding, lifting arrangements, and protection of existing building elements. The contractor must ensure safety compliance, quality control, and timely completion within 912 days. Eligibility requires PEC registration category C2 or above, FBR/ATL registration, proven experience in similar projects, financial strength, and HSE compliance. Bidders must submit bids electronically via EPADS v2.0 by the deadline.
The bid security and performance guarantees are required as per bidding documents. The contract will be awarded based on Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique.
