Tender Description
The Punjab Highways Department invites bids for the improvement of metalled road footpath and supply and fixing of street lights on Ghous-Ul-Azam Road from Khan Plaza to High Court Chowk PSO Pump Multan. This tender is specifically issued by the Executive Engineer Highway Division Multan, targeting contractors registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category for the Financial Year 2025-26. Items being procured:
- Improvement of metalled road footpath
- Supply and fixing of street lights
The technical scope includes laying rigid pavement and RCC drain work using concrete batching plant and concrete paving machine. Surfacing works such as TST/DST will be executed by mechanized systems. Recovery against credit of old material will be adjusted manually during bid evaluation. Contractors must submit bids electronically through the Punjab PPRA website and provide earnest money in the form of CDR at 5% of the estimated cost. Performance security of 10% of contract amount is mandatory within 15 days of offer letter receipt. The contract forbids any cost overrun due to price variation as per Clause-55 of the contract agreement. Eligibility requires valid PEC license, FBR/ATL registration, and experience in similar works. The bid opening is scheduled for 27-07-2026 at 11:30 AM at the office of the Commissioner Multan Division. Bidders should ensure original CDR submission half an hour before bid opening to avoid disqualification. A practical tip for bidders is to carefully verify all documents and avoid submission of fake information such as CDR or PEC license to prevent immediate disqualification and disciplinary action. This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified contractors in Multan to engage in important infrastructure and electrical works under the Punjab Highways Department.
