Tender Description
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road Infrastructure in 05 Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) in District East, Karachi under Package 06. This comprehensive civil works project includes the improvement and rehabilitation of Mir Zaman Khan Road from Irfan Masood Road to Maymar Avenue Road (Dual Carriageway), Molana Ubaidullah Sindhi Road from Jamali Bridge (Super Highway) to Ayoub Goth (Lyari Naddi), repair and maintenance of patch work on Maymar Avenue Road from Super Highway to end of Lyari Naddi (Dual Carriageway), and improvement and rehabilitation of Dr. Nishat Malik Road via Zia-ul-Haq Colony, Gulshan Town, District East, Karachi.
Items being procured:
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of Mir Zaman Khan Road (Dual Carriageway)
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of Molana Ubaidullah Sindhi Road
- Repair & Maintenance of Patch Work Maymar Avenue Road (Dual Carriageway)
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of Dr. Nishat Malik Road
The technical scope covers dismantling of existing road surfaces, earth excavation, cartage of materials, preparation and laying of sub-base and aggregate base course, application of tack coat, laying of asphalt concrete wearing course, repair of sewerage pipelines, construction of manholes, cleaning of sewerage lines, installation of precast edge blocks, paving blocks, road studs, and pavement marking. The project also includes ancillary works such as road studs and thermoplastic paint for pavement marking.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-3 or above with relevant discipline codes, registered with FBR and Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) and on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL). Bidders must have relevant experience, financial capacity, and equipment as specified. Earnest money in the form of bid security amounting to 5% of the estimated cost is required. The bid validity period is 90 days.
Key dates include the bid submission deadline on 20-08-2026 by 11:00 AM via the SPPRA e-Procurement System (EPADS). Technical bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM at the office of the Chairman Procurement Committee, Engineering Department, KMC, Muslimabad, Karachi.
