Tender Description
Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road Infrastructure in 05 Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) in District East, Karachi under ADP#1765/2026-27, Package-03. The works include improvement and rehabilitation of roads and nallahs at various locations in Chanesar Town, District East, Karachi. Items being procured:
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of Road/Nallah work at Mariyam Masjid Jinnah Road
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of Waldroff Road
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of 100 Feet Road Chandni Chowk to Police Station Mehmoodabad
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of Road/Nallah work at Nishter Road, Manzoor Colony
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of Road/Nallah work at Chanesar Road in Shahrah-e-Faisal to Ambala Bakery (KFC to Phatak Chanesar Halt)
The technical scope covers dismantling of existing road surfaces, scarifying, cold milling, sub-base preparation, aggregate base course laying, asphalt concrete wearing course, sewerage system including excavation, pipe laying, manhole construction, drainage works, median/footpath/islands work, and ancillary works such as road studs and pavement marking. The project is estimated at Rs. 356.5 million with a completion time of 24 months and a penalty of Rs. 3000 per day for delay.
Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in category C-3 or above with relevant disciplines, NTN and active taxpayer status with FBR and Sindh Revenue Board, submission of bid security of 5% of estimated cost, and an integrity pact. Bids must be submitted online via the SPPRA e-procurement portal by 20-08-2026 at 11:00 AM. Technical bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM at the office of the Chairman Procurement Committee, Engineering Department, KMC, Muslimabad, Karachi.
Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents, including detailed bill of quantities, specifications, and conditions of contract. The bid price should be quoted in Pakistani Rupees and rounded to the nearest rupee. The bid security must be submitted as a pay order or bank guarantee in favor of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation. Joint ventures are not allowed. The procuring agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids as per SPPRA rules.
