Tender Description
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the improvement and rehabilitation of street lighting systems in District East Karachi. This tender covers multiple projects aimed at enhancing the street lighting infrastructure to improve safety and visibility in key areas of the district.

- Improvement / Rehabilitation of street lighting system at Abul Hassan Ispahani Road from Super Highway to Maskan Chowrangi District East
- Improvement / Rehabilitation of street lighting system at Sir Shah Suleman Road from National Stadium Flyover to Lyari Expressway District East
- Improvement & Rehabilitation of Street Lighting system at Lines Area near Rangers Office, Aihtasham Masjid to Telephone Office Nizami Road, District East

The scope includes comprehensive rehabilitation works involving electrical wiring, installation of lighting fixtures, and civil works necessary for the street lighting systems. The projects are located in various strategic locations within District East Karachi, requiring experienced contractors familiar with urban electrical infrastructure and civil engineering works.
Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in relevant categories, FBR and ATL registration, and proven experience in similar street lighting or electrical infrastructure projects. Bidders must submit a Technical Bid and Financial Bid through the EPADS e-Procurement system as per SPPRA regulations. Earnest Money in the form of Bid Security amounting to 5% of the estimated cost is required, along with a pay order of Rs. 5000 for the tender cost.
The tender documents can be downloaded from the SPPRA Sindh website. Bids must be submitted online by 19-08-2026 at 03:00 PM, with opening scheduled for 03:30 PM the same day. Physical submission of supporting documents including pay order and affidavit on stamp paper worth Rs. 200 confirming non-blacklisting is mandatory before the bid closing time.
