Tender Description
This tender invites qualified and experienced construction contractors to participate in civil construction and rehabilitation works aimed at improving educational environments at girls' primary schools in Abbottabad and Haripur districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The procuring entity is a reputable international non-profit organization focused on enhancing educational facilities.
Items being procured:
- Rehabilitation and repair of WASH facilities in Government Primary Schools
- Upgrading and construction of barrier-free, accessible infrastructure
The scope of work includes rehabilitation and repair of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities, as well as upgrading infrastructure to ensure accessibility without barriers. All works must strictly comply with PEC standards, national building codes, and relevant regulations to ensure quality and safety.
Eligibility criteria require contractors to have a valid PEC registration of category C-3 or above, with expired licenses leading to disqualification. Bidders must also hold valid NTN (active) and KPRA registrations. Submission of bid security amounting to 2% of the bid cost is mandatory, in the form of Pay Order, CDR, or Bank Guarantee from any scheduled bank in Pakistan. Only one package per contractor is allowed; multiple submissions will be rejected. The employer reserves the right to reject bids at any time before acceptance. Detailed rate analysis and supporting documents may be requested to verify quoted rates. Confidentiality of bid evaluation is assured, with only technically qualified bidders' financial proposals opened.
Bidders must have inspected the site and fully understand the scope, conditions, and requirements. Conditional or incomplete bids will not be accepted. All federal and provincial taxes must be included in the quoted rates. Copies of award letters for previously completed works must be attached. A minimum accumulated annual turnover of PKR 20 million over the last three financial years is required. Experience in similar civil works projects within Pakistan is essential. Adequate manpower, machinery, and equipment must be available to complete the project within the specified timeline.
The deadline for submission is 04:00 PM on 10th August 2026. Interested vendors should submit separately sealed Technical and Financial bids in an outer envelope to the address mentioned in the detailed tender documents. The tender documents can be obtained by sending a request email to constructionadvert@gmail.com mentioning the request for tender documents in the subject line.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all required documentation, including PEC registration, tax certificates, bid security, and previous work evidence, is complete and properly organized to avoid disqualification during the technical evaluation phase.
