Installation of 2 Nos. New Weighbridges in Karachi Export Processing Zone

The Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) Karachi invites bids for the installation of 2 Nos. new weighbridges each with a capacity of 125 metric tons at the Karachi Export Processing Zone (KEPZ). This procurement is managed by the Engineering Division of EPZA located in Landhi Industrial Area Extension, Mehran Highway, Karachi. The tender requires firms registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-V or above for the financial year 2025-2026, and registered with Income Tax (ATL) and Sales Tax departments. The scope includes complete installation works with civil and electrical components, calibration, and certification. Items being procured: - Excavation for foundations, trenches, and drains - Installation of digital electronic computerized weighbridge platform (18x3 m) with heavy duty 10mm checkered plate - Digital electronic weighing terminal (1 no.) - Digital compression column load cells (8 nos. of 40 M. Ton each) - Digital weight indicator (1 no.) - Installation including civil and electrical works, panels, wiring, and cabling - Installation and calibration with 15 tons dead weight and certification - Supply of computer (Core-i5) with 17" LCD monitor and laser printer (EPSON M1120) with software - Installation of 1.5 ton air conditioners (2 nos.) with accessories - Supply and fixing of 1 HP pump with motor for water suction from weighbridge pit - Dismantling and removal of old curb wall - Supply and laying of new curb stones (18"x12"x6") with cement mortar and painting - Excavation and preparation of subgrade for road works - Supply and spreading of granular material for sub-base or base course - Laying of 2.5" asphalt concrete with liquid asphalt and sand flushing - Installation of street light poles with 4 LED SMD lights and wiring The technical scope covers full civil works including excavation, foundation, curb stone works, road preparation, and electrical installation including wiring and lighting. The site is located at KEPZ, Karachi. Bidders must submit bids through the EPADS portal using the single stage two envelope procedure. Earnest money of 2% of the bid amount in the form of pay order is required. Performance security of 10% of the bid amount is also mandatory. The bid validity is 60 days from the date of opening. The contract period is 60 days from the commencement date. Eligibility requires PEC registration C-V or above, valid NTN and Sales Tax registration, and relevant experience in similar works. The technical evaluation includes firm experience, methodology, team composition, and work schedule with a passing score of 70 out of 100.
