Tender Description
This tender invites bids for acquiring a contiguous piece of land around 16 Kanal in Gujrat for constructing a 132 kV Gujrat-III Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) Grid Station. The site must be located near Juliani, Kot Bela, Dhool Saray, or adjacent areas within a 2 km radius, with sufficient frontage on a main road and suitable for grid station infrastructure. The land should be free from legal disputes and environmental hazards, maintaining required distances from canals, drains, and floodplains.
The project involves securing land that meets technical viability for the installation of AIS grid station equipment, which demands a stable and accessible site. The engineering challenges include ensuring the land's topography and location support the heavy electrical infrastructure and related facilities. The site selection committee will assess technical proposals based on ownership records, geographical maps, and compliance with specifications.
Bidders must be registered with PRA, FBR, SECP, and PEC, and comply with PEC category requirements. Bid security of PKR 2,000,000 is mandatory, valid for 180 days. The tender follows a Single Stage—Two Envelope process with electronic bid submission via EPADS and a sealed hard copy for official record. Tax obligations rest with the landowners or providers. Ensure your firm's FBR ATL status is active for the 2025-26 financial year to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is on the 10th of March, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Bids must be uploaded on the EPADS portal at least 30 minutes before the deadline. Hard copies of technical and financial bids, along with original bid security documents, must be delivered to the Chief Engineer (Development) PMU office at Gujranwala Electric Power Company, Gujranwala.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender documents for the specific stamp duty requirements on the Rs. 1200/- non-judicial stamp paper undertaking, as missing this often leads to bid rejection. Also, ensure all filenames on EPADS include your firm's name and a brief description to avoid technical disqualification.
