Hiring of Legal Advisors for Directorate of Law and Prosecution Customs Karachi

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), through the Office of the Chief Collector of Customs Appraisement (South), Karachi, is seeking applications from qualified advocates for contract appointment as Legal Advisors in the Directorate of Law & Prosecution Customs, Karachi. This opportunity is ideal for experienced legal professionals with a background in customs law who wish to contribute to the legal operations of Pakistan Customs. Items being procured: - Contractual appointment of individual Legal Advisors for Directorate of Law & Prosecution Customs, Karachi Legal Advisors will be responsible for assisting the Directorate in preparing legal submissions, representing Customs in appellate forums, conducting legal research on complex customs matters, reviewing and advising on notices and orders, supporting litigation and legal risk management, preparing periodic reports, liaising with field formations, drafting dispute settlement proposals, and pleading cases before High Courts, CAT, and FTO. Advisors will also handle systematic review and classification of pending litigation and perform any other legal tasks assigned by the Directorate. Applicants must hold an LLB from a recognized university, have at least 5 years of High Court post-qualification experience (preferably in customs law), and be enrolled advocates eligible to appear before the High Courts. The monthly remuneration is in the range of PKR 300,000, with the final amount determined by FBR in consultation with the Selection Committee. The initial contract is for one year, extendable based on performance and requirement.
