Tender Description
Sindh Health Support Unit invites sealed bids from eligible suppliers for the procurement of medical gases for the 1000-bedded Sindh Infectious Disease Hospital and Research Center, Karachi, under the Sindh Human Capital Investment Project (SHCIP). This procurement is being conducted through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) as per World Bank guidelines.
Items being procured:
- Medical Oxygen (bulk supply)
- Medical Nitrous Oxide (bulk supply)
- Medical Air (bulk supply)
- Carbon Dioxide (bulk supply)
- Nitrogen (bulk supply)
- Associated supply, installation, and commissioning of gas delivery systems as per hospital requirements
The scope includes supply, delivery, and installation of medical gases and related systems at the hospital site in Karachi. Bidders must ensure compliance with technical specifications and international standards for medical gas purity and safety. The contract will cover the supply for a specified period, with quantities as per hospital demand.
Eligible bidders must be registered with FBR and on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). Experience in supplying medical gases to large hospitals or public sector institutions is required. Earnest Money/ Bid Security must be submitted as per the instructions in the bidding documents. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the Project Management Unit (PMU) office at the address provided below by the deadline of 10 October 2026. Late bids will not be entertained.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at the hospital premises to clarify technical and procedural queries. Bidding documents can be downloaded from the official website or collected from the PMU office. For best results, bidders should visit the hospital site to understand the installation requirements and coordinate with the technical team for any clarifications before bid submission.
