Tender Description
This tender invites contractors enlisted in Category E or above with the Military Engineer Services to undertake various construction, repair, maintenance, and supply works at Okara Cantt. The scope includes minor and major repair works, abnormal repairs, and supply of bazar materials for electrical and mechanical items as well as building and road items. The works cover multiple locations including HQ 40 Division, Zone I, II & III, and auxiliary headquarters within Okara Cantt and Sahilwal. The estimated cost is up to PKR 4 million.
The works require contractors to manage diverse civil and mechanical repair tasks, ensuring quality materials and timely execution. The site at Okara Cantt presents typical military cantonment challenges such as security compliance and coordination with multiple units. Contractors must be prepared to handle both supply and installation aspects, maintaining standards set by MES and Pakistan Engineering Council.
Contractors must be registered with PEC in Category E or above and be on the Active Taxpayers List of FBR. Firms not registered with PEC or FBR will not be considered. The tender requires submission of earnest money in the form of a bid security of at least 2% of the bid value. Compliance with the 2025-26 fiscal year requirements and proper documentation is essential for eligibility.
The submission deadline for the first listed work is 18 August 2025 by 11:30 AM, with bid opening at 12:00 PM the same day. Applications must be submitted physically to the office of GE (Army)-II Okara Cantt. Tender documents are available upon scrutiny of credentials. Subsequent works have staggered deadlines extending to February 2026.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to check the newspaper advertisement carefully for specific Earnest Money and Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) requirements, as these are often overlooked and can lead to disqualification.
