Tender Description
The Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the procurement of T-2093 11KV Dropout Cutout under contract reference P155244 for the financial year 2026-27. This procurement is planned to be executed in Quetta, Balochistan, with delivery scheduled to QESCO Regional Store at Sheikhmanda Airport Chowk, Quetta. Items being procured include:
- 3138 units of 11KV Fuse Cutout
- 1569 units of 11KV Dropout Cutout with delivery in two schedules: 1 to 60 days and 61 to 120 days respectively.
The technical specifications conform to DDS-13:2009 (Amended to Date). Bidders must have valid prototype approval, satisfactory past performance with QESCO or other DISCOs/NTDC for the last two years, and be registered with relevant authorities including FBR and PPMC. The procurement will follow the Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique under the Public Procurement Rules, 2026. Bids must be submitted electronically via the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 portal by Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day. Manual submissions are not accepted. Original bid security must be submitted physically to QESCO HQ, Zarghoon Road, Quetta before the deadline.
Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents available on EPADS and ensure compliance with all eligibility and submission requirements. A bid security in the form of Pay Order, Call at Deposit, Bank Guarantee, or Demand Draft is mandatory. The contract includes inspection rights at the manufacturer's premises and requires performance guarantees. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for suppliers of electrical goods to engage with a major power distribution company in Balochistan. Prospective bidders should register on EPADS promptly and prepare their bids in accordance with the detailed instructions to avoid disqualification.
A practical tip for bidders: ensure your bid security is submitted in original form to the specified QESCO address before the deadline, as failure to do so will result in immediate disqualification. This step is critical despite electronic bid submission. Bidders should also verify prototype approvals and past performance documentation to meet eligibility criteria effectively.
