Tender Description
Pakistan Railways Rawalpindi invites bids for the provision of a Class-II manned level crossing at KM 213/3-34 between Quaidabad and Wanbhachran stations on the Lalamusa-Malakwal section. This project involves civil works related to railway infrastructure, specifically the installation and manning of a level crossing to enhance safety and operational efficiency on this route.
The scope includes all necessary materials and labor to establish the crossing, ensuring compliance with Pakistan Engineering Council standards for civil works. The site is located in Rawalpindi, Punjab, and the work period is two months. Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant civil works category and must be on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Bidders should also have prior experience in similar railway or civil infrastructure projects.
Bidding documents are available free of cost for download from the official procurement portal. Bids must be submitted electronically via the E-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (E-PADS) along with scanned copies of the bid security in the form of Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) or Bank Guarantee. The original bid security and other required documents must be submitted to the Divisional Accounts Officer, Pakistan Railways Rawalpindi by 12:00 PM on 6th July 2026. The technical and financial bids will be opened on the same day at 12:30 PM in the presence of bidders or their representatives.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure strict compliance with the E-PADS submission requirements and to prepare the bid security in the exact form requested. Late or incomplete submissions will be rejected. Also, verify all registration and tax documents are current to avoid disqualification. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for contractors specializing in railway civil works to engage with Pakistan Railways on a critical safety infrastructure project.
