Providing and Fixing Street Lights in UC-09, 10 & 11 District East Karachi

The Town Municipal Corporation Chanesar District East Karachi is procuring the provision and fixing of street lights in different streets of Union Councils 09, 10, and 11 within District East Karachi. This tender specifically covers the supply and installation of 250 Watts SON-T street lights with IP65 classification, including lamps, capacitors, internal wiring, and mounting at heights using hydraulic cranes as per site requirements and instructions of the Executive Engineer (M&E). The scope also includes manufacturing and fixing GI single arm double arch poles, photo cells, and laying PVC insulated copper conductors in conduits for main and sub-main wiring. Eligible bidders must possess a valid PEC license in category C-5 or above, be registered with FBR and Sindh Revenue Board, and have a minimum annual turnover of Rs. 25 million supported by audited financial statements of the last five years. Experience in similar works with at least one project of 80% of the estimated cost is required. The contractor must have adequate machinery including cranes with man baskets or sky lifters and vehicles with ladders up to 30-40 feet height. Technical and engineering staff qualifications must meet SPPRA rules. The tender documents are available from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM at the office of the Executive Engineer (M&E), Gol Market Block B near Darwaishia Masjid, TMC Chanesar, District East Karachi, and can also be downloaded from the SPPRA e-procurement portal. Bids must be submitted online only via the SPPRA procurement system by 11:00 AM on 21-05-2026. The technical bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM in the presence of bidders or their representatives. A bid security of 3% of the estimated cost is required. The bid validity period is 90 days. Performance security and contract signing will follow the award. The contract duration is up to 24 months with liquidated damages applicable for delays. Bidders are advised to carefully review the technical specifications and ensure timely online submission to avoid disqualification. Physical submissions will not be accepted. It is practical to prepare all required documents including PEC license, FBR registration, and financial statements in advance to ensure compliance and smooth bid submission.
