Tender Description
This tender invites experienced contractors to undertake rehabilitation and special repair works on transmission lines and grid stations across Southern Punjab, including Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, and surrounding areas. The scope covers foundation protection, control house renovations, boundary wall raising, and repair of residential quarters at various 132 KV grid stations. The works demand quality civil engineering materials and adherence to safety standards, with sites located in diverse urban and semi-urban settings presenting logistical and technical challenges.
Contractors must hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration under category CE-10 and maintain active registrations with Punjab Revenue Authority and Federal Board of Revenue. Compliance with FBR and Punjab Revenue Authority requirements for the fiscal year 2025-26 is mandatory. Bidders should prepare earnest money in the form of Call Deposit Receipt (CDR), bank draft, or pay order as specified. The tender follows a single-stage one-envelope bidding procedure via the Electronic Procurement and Disposal System (EPADS).
Submission deadline is set for 03 March 2026, with bid opening scheduled 1.5 hours after submission at the office of the Superintending Engineer (Civil), MEPCO Headquarters, Khanewal Road, Multan. Bidders must submit original bid security physically before the deadline; electronic bids without original security will be rejected. Manual bids are not accepted.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid security is properly stamped and attached both physically and electronically to avoid disqualification. Also, verify your PEC category and tax status well in advance to meet all eligibility criteria.
