Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the renovation and repair of Quarter No. C type residence located at the 132KV Grid Station Bahawal Pur Old, under MEPCO's own resources in Multan. The project is managed by the Project Director (GSC) MEPCO Multan and falls under the construction and civil works category. The scope includes comprehensive repair works to the residential quarter, ensuring structural integrity and habitability.
The work involves civil construction materials and skilled labor to restore the residence to functional condition. The site is situated in Multan, Punjab, requiring contractors to consider local climatic and logistical factors. The engineering challenges include working within an operational grid station environment, necessitating adherence to safety and operational protocols. Contractors must prepare a detailed bar chart program and method statement outlining their approach to the renovation.
Bidders must hold a valid Pakistan Engineering Council certificate with at least Category C-6 and specialization code CE-10. Registration with the Punjab Revenue Authority for sales tax is mandatory. Experience requirements include successful completion of at least two similar contracts awarded by WAPDA, NTDC, or DISCOs within the last ten years, with a combined value exceeding 60% of the estimated cost. Income tax returns for the last two years must also be submitted. Joint ventures are permitted but must be registered with a joint bank account and NTN.
The submission deadline is set for 11:00 AM on 1st April 2026, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day at the office of the Chief Engineer (Development) PMU MEPCO, Khanewal Road, Multan. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS, accompanied by an original bid security of PKR 30,000 in the form of Deposit-at-Call, CDR, bank draft, or pay order. Manual bids will not be accepted.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid includes the required undertaking regarding MEPCO blacklisting and debarment provisions, as failure to submit this may lead to rejection. Also, double-check the bid security validity and submission procedures on EPADS to avoid disqualification.
