Tender Description
This tender invites experienced sub-contractors registered with Income Tax and Sales Tax departments to undertake the repair and maintenance of the Howra Boat at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works in Karachi. The scope involves specialized marine repair work requiring skilled craftsmanship and adherence to maritime standards.
The work will be carried out at the Ship Repair Division of KS&EW, located at West Wharf Dockyard Road, Karachi. Contractors must prepare technical and commercial bids in line with the detailed bidding documents, which include specifications, bid security, performance guarantees, and evaluation criteria. The marine environment and shipyard setting demand careful planning and execution to ensure durability and safety of the vessel.
Bidders should ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including valid PEC categories if applicable, and maintain active FBR/ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. It is advisable to review the bidding documents thoroughly to meet all procedural and financial obligations such as Earnest Money and Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) submissions.
The submission deadline is set for 06 March 2026 at 1100 hrs, with technical bids opening at 1130 hrs on the same day at the Ship Repair Division office. Commercial bids will be opened later, with dates to be communicated. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the specified address.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to check the newspaper advertisement for any specific stamp duty or bid security requirements, as these are often overlooked and can lead to disqualification.
