Tender Description
The National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC) invites bids for the repair and maintenance of the Office of Chief Engineer A.M (South) located at NTPS Colony T.M Khan Road Hyderabad. This tender is specifically issued by the Executive Engineer (Civil) AM (S) NGC Hyderabad and covers comprehensive civil and electrical works at the specified site in Hyderabad, Sindh.
The scope includes jungle clearance, dismantling of cement concrete and brickwork, excavation for sewer and manholes, cement concrete works, flooring with glazed tiles, brickwork, reinforcement steel fabrication, plastering, distempering, false ceiling installation, door and window works, electrical wiring, lighting, plumbing, and sanitary fittings. The works also cover supply and installation of water tanks, cleaning of sewer manholes, and other related maintenance activities. All materials and workmanship must comply with WAPDA/NGC standard specifications and approved quality standards.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-6 with code CE-10 or have applied for renewal before bid submission. They must be on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and relevant provincial authorities, and not blacklisted by NGC, WAPDA, DISCOs, or any government/public department. Experience of at least two similar works in the last ten years with a minimum contract value of PKR 4.5 million is required. Key personnel such as a Civil Engineer/Project Manager with 15 years experience and a Site Supervisor (DAE) with 10 years experience must be proposed.
The tender documents are available on EPADS, PPRA, and NGC websites. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS by 29th June 2026 at 11:00 AM, with original bid security (CDR or bank guarantee) submitted before the deadline. Technical bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM at the office of Executive Engineer (Civil) AM (S) NGC Hyderabad. Bidders are advised to visit the site and fully understand the conditions before bidding. The bid validity period is 150 days. The estimated cost of the project is **PKR 2,270,000**.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of original bid security in hard copy before the electronic bid closing deadline, as failure to do so will result in rejection of the bid. Also, bidders should carefully prepare their technical and financial bids in separate PDF files as per instructions and ensure all required documents including affidavits and beneficial ownership declarations are complete to avoid disqualification.
