Tender Description
The Punjab Highway Department invites bids for restoration works related to road cuttings in Attock. This tender is specifically for the restoration of road cut for laying a 6 inch diameter pipeline and optical fiber cable. The works are to be executed in Attock city under the supervision of the Highways Division, Attock.
Items being procured:
- Restoration of road cut for laying of 6 inch diameter pipeline for 1.50 Km from Proposed TBS Muhammad Ali Chowk to opposite PSO Pump and Islamabad Tehsil and District Attock
- Restoration of road cut for laying of Optical Fiber PTCL from PTCL Exchange to Takber Colony Chowk on Kamra road, length 3.40 Km, Tehsil & District Attock
The technical scope includes civil restoration of road surfaces after pipeline and fiber optic cable laying. The completion period for each work is 3 months. Contractors must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category and registered on the Punjab PPRA website. Earnest money in the form of CDR is required as per PPRA rules. Performance guarantee must be submitted by the lowest evaluated bidder within 15 days of receipt of the letter of acceptance.
Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration, FBR/ATL registration, and relevant experience in similar civil restoration works. Bidders must submit their bids electronically through the PPRA E-Tendering System. The original CDR must be submitted half an hour before the bid opening time to avoid disqualification.
The tender closing date is 7 days after the publish date or as per PPRA circular, with bids opening announced in the presence of the Tender Opening Committee. The Executive Engineer, Highways Division Attock, is the contact authority.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure your CDR and performance guarantee documents strictly comply with PPRA rules and are submitted timely to avoid disqualification. Also, carefully quote item-wise rates as per PPRA Punjab Circular No.L&M (PPRA)10-1/2011/008595 dated 11.10.2024, since rates quoted above or below approved cost will not be accepted.
