Tender Description
Multan Electric Power Company Limited (MEPCO) invites bids for the safe handling, transportation, shifting, erection, and stringing work of HT/LT spun poles of various sizes including 31', 36', 45', and 58' structures across multiple locations such as Multan, Vehari, Khanewal, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, and others within Punjab province. The scope includes providing PCC foundations with earthing work for HT structures and installation of ABC cables with accessories. This tender is specifically issued by the Project Director Construction MEPCO, Multan, and covers a wide range of electrical infrastructure works essential for power distribution enhancement.
The technical scope requires contractors to be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under specialization codes EE-04, EE-05, and CE-10, valid for the financial year 2025-26. Bidders must submit an original Bid Security in the form of a CDR amounting to 3% of the quoted bid value. Only electronic bids submitted through the EPADS system will be accepted, with manual bids being disqualified. Contractors already engaged with MEPCO must upload satisfactory performance and completion certificates of previous contracts. New bidders should provide documentary evidence of relevant experience and satisfactory performance from similar works.
The tender submission deadline is fixed at 08-06-2026 by 11:00 AM, with bid opening scheduled the same day at 2:30 PM. Bidders should ensure their applications are complete and submitted on company letterhead as per instructions. For technical assistance, the PPRA IT Team in Islamabad is available for support. The tendering process follows the PPRA rules strictly, ensuring transparency and fairness.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully prepare the technical bid with all required PEC and FBR registrations and ensure the CDR is deposited before the deadline at the specified MEPCO office. Early submission through EPADS is recommended to avoid last-minute technical issues. This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified electrical contractors to engage in vital infrastructure projects in Punjab.
