Aga Khan Cultural Service - Pakistan (AKCS-P) is seeking highly qualified and experienced music practitioners to serve as Senior Music Trainers and Consultants for a capacity-building project at the Leif Larsen Music Centre (LLMC) in Hunza. This initiative is part of the Aga Khan Music Programme (AKMP) and aims to strengthen the technical and professional capacities of young musicians through advanced master classes, mentorship, and exposure to Pakistan’s contemporary music industry. Items being procured: - Design and delivery of advanced music training workshops for LLMC students in Hunza - Conduct practical master classes combining indigenous musical traditions of Hunza with South Asian classical and contemporary musical forms - Mentorship of emerging musicians supporting their artistic and professional development - Lead advanced music residency/workshop in Karachi for selected participants - Provide technical guidance on performance, composition, musical interpretation, and professional practice The scope involves delivering specialized music training and mentorship focusing on local musical traditions of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, as well as contemporary music forms. The project also includes a residency workshop in Karachi, enhancing cross-regional exposure. Applicants must possess a nationally recognized reputation as professional musicians, composers, music educators, or music producers with at least 20 years of demonstrated professional experience in performance, composition, production, or music education. Extensive experience in designing and delivering professional music training and mentoring programs related to the local music of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, as well as South Asian classical and contemporary music, is required. Strong communication skills and experience working with cultural, educational, or development organizations are advantageous. Applications must be submitted by the closing date of 5th August 2026.
