Tender Description

The National Grid Company of Pakistan (Formerly NTDC) invites bids for the shifting and raising of the 220KV double circuit transmission line between Tower Nos 141 to 144 at Mouza Garra Khan Wala, Tehsil Darabin on D.I. Khan-Zhob Road N-50. This project is located in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and involves comprehensive civil and electrical works including reinforced concrete pile foundations, tower erection, conductor and earthwire stringing, dismantling of existing towers and conductors, and testing and commissioning. The scope includes detailed site survey, soil investigation, excavation, shuttering, backfilling, installation of steel stub angles, tower grounding, and installation of insulator assemblies and hardware. The contractor must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category and be on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Experience of executing at least one similar 220kV or higher voltage project in the last ten years is mandatory. Financial qualifications include submission of audited financial statements showing positive net worth and minimum average annual turnover equal to the bid value. The bid submission deadline is **30th June 2026 at 11:00 AM** and bids must be delivered physically to the Project Director (EHV-II) NGC, Multan, as well as submitted electronically through EPADS. The bid security of 2% of the contract price is required. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure thorough site inspection and understanding of local conditions including access, material availability, and weather uncertainties before bid submission to avoid claims later. Early preparation of technical and financial bids with complete documentation including PEC license and bid security will enhance responsiveness. Bidders should also prepare a detailed construction schedule and method statement for approval. This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified contractors to participate in a critical infrastructure project with clear guidelines and a structured procurement process.
