Tender Description
This tender invites qualified suppliers to provide and install solar power systems aimed at enhancing rural electrification in Karachi under the Sindh Energy Department. The project focuses on deploying high-efficiency photovoltaic panels, inverters, and battery storage units designed to withstand local climatic conditions and ensure reliable power supply to off-grid communities.
The scope includes site assessment, system design, procurement of quality solar components, installation, and commissioning. Karachi's coastal environment presents engineering challenges such as corrosion resistance and salt-laden air, requiring robust materials and expert installation practices to guarantee system longevity and performance.
Bidders must hold a valid PEC Category C-4 or above license and be registered with the FBR with an active ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. Compliance with these requirements ensures eligibility and smooth processing of bids. It is advisable to prepare all financial and technical documentation carefully, including Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR).
The submission deadline is set for **24 June 2024** at 23:59:59, with technical bids opening on the following day at 10:00 AM. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Sindh Energy Department office located at Karachi Secretariat, Block B, 3rd Floor.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to verify the exact stamp duty requirements mentioned in the newspaper advertisement, as these are often overlooked and can lead to disqualification. Also, double-check the validity period of your CDR to avoid last-minute issues.
