Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors in Karachi to supply and install solar power systems across multiple government buildings. The Energy Department of the Government of Sindh seeks to enhance energy efficiency and reduce reliance on conventional power sources by deploying state-of-the-art photovoltaic panels and associated electrical infrastructure. The project involves site surveys, mounting solar panels on rooftops, integrating inverters, and ensuring compliance with local electrical standards.
The scope covers procurement of high-quality solar modules, batteries, charge controllers, and wiring materials suitable for Karachi's climate. Contractors must address engineering challenges such as rooftop load capacity, shading analysis, and grid synchronization. The work demands experienced teams familiar with solar technology installation and maintenance.
Bidders should hold a valid PEC Category C-4 or above license and be registered with the FBR with an active ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. Submission of Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) is mandatory. Compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements is essential to avoid disqualification.
The technical and financial bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes by the deadline of 1st July 2024, 23:59:59. Bids will be opened on the same day at 10:00 AM at the Energy Department office located at Karachi Secretariat, Karachi. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to verify the exact stamp duty requirements mentioned in the newspaper advertisement, as these are often overlooked and can lead to bid rejection. Also, double-check the technical specifications to ensure full compliance with the tender documents.
