Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors in Karachi to supply and install advanced solar power systems under the Sindh Energy Department. The project focuses on deploying high-efficiency photovoltaic panels and inverters to enhance sustainable energy infrastructure in urban settings. The scope includes site preparation, mounting structures, electrical wiring, and system testing to ensure optimal performance and compliance with local standards.
The work involves careful handling of solar modules and electrical components, requiring expertise in renewable energy installations. Karachi's coastal climate presents unique challenges such as corrosion resistance and wind load considerations, demanding robust engineering solutions. Contractors must ensure all materials meet quality certifications and installation follows safety protocols.
Bidders should hold a valid PEC Category C-4 or above license and be registered with the FBR with an active ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. Compliance with tax and regulatory requirements is mandatory to avoid disqualification. Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) must accompany the Technical Bid as per tender documents.
The submission deadline is set for the 22nd of June 2024, with bid opening scheduled at 10:00 AM on the same day. Bids must be delivered in sealed envelopes to the Sindh Energy Department office located at Karachi Energy Complex, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the tender advertisement for specific stamp duty and bid security instructions, as these are commonly overlooked and can lead to bid rejection. Ensure all documentation is complete and properly signed to streamline evaluation.
