Tender Description
This tender invites qualified suppliers to provide and install solar power systems at selected rural schools in Karachi under the Sindh Education and Literacy Department. The project focuses on enhancing energy access through reliable solar solutions, including solar panels, batteries, inverters, and mounting structures. The installations will be carried out at multiple school sites, requiring careful planning to address site-specific challenges such as limited space and security concerns.
The scope includes supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar power systems designed to meet the energy needs of classrooms and administrative offices. The department expects adherence to quality standards and use of durable materials suitable for Karachi's climate. This initiative supports sustainable energy use and aims to improve educational infrastructure in underserved areas.
Bidders must hold a valid PEC registration in the relevant category and maintain an active FBR ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. Compliance with these requirements ensures eligibility and smooth processing of bids. The department advises bidders to prepare their technical and financial bids carefully, including Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as per tender documents.
The submission deadline is set for 23:59:59 on the 1st of July, 2024, with bid opening scheduled shortly after. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes at the Sindh Education Department office located in Karachi. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to verify the exact stamp duty requirements mentioned in the newspaper advertisement, as these are often overlooked and can lead to disqualification. Also, double-check the technical specifications to avoid common pitfalls in the evaluation process.
