Tender Description
This tender invites qualified firms to supply and install solar power systems across various government buildings in Karachi under the Sindh Energy Department. The project focuses on deploying high-efficiency photovoltaic panels, inverters, and battery storage units to enhance energy sustainability and reduce reliance on conventional power sources.
The scope includes site surveys, system design, procurement of materials, installation, and commissioning. Karachi's urban environment presents challenges such as limited rooftop space and high ambient temperatures, requiring robust engineering solutions and quality materials to ensure system longevity and optimal performance.
Bidders must hold a valid PEC registration in the relevant category and maintain an active FBR ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. Submission of Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) is mandatory. Compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements is essential to avoid disqualification.
The technical and financial bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes by the deadline of 23:59:59 on the 1st of July, 2024. Bids will be opened at 10:00 AM on the following day at the Energy Department office located at Karachi Secretariat, Block B.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid documents include the latest stamp duty as per the Sindh Stamp Act, which is often overlooked and can lead to bid rejection. Double-check all compliance certificates and financial documents before submission to streamline the evaluation process.
