Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the solarization of the Reproductive Health Services Center (RHS-A), District Population Welfare Offices (DPWO), and Family Welfare Centers (FWCS) in Quetta, Balochistan. The Director General North Energy Department requires qualified contractors to execute solar energy system installations to enhance energy sustainability at these public health facilities.
The project involves installing solar hybrid systems at multiple welfare centers, ensuring reliable power supply for critical health services. The work demands expertise in solar energy technologies, including solar panels, inverters, and battery storage systems. Given Quetta's climatic conditions, bidders must consider engineering challenges such as dust accumulation and temperature variations to optimize system performance and durability.
Bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under category C-4 or above, with specialized codes EE11(i), EE11(ii), and EE11(iii) for solar energy systems. Firms should have a proven track record with at least two similar solar hybrid projects completed, demonstrating financial capacity with a turnover of at least PKR 150 million in the last three years. Active Taxpayer List (ATL) registration and no blacklisting by any Pakistani procuring agency are mandatory.
The submission deadline is set for 16 March 2026 at 10:30 AM, with electronic bids only accepted via the BPPRA supplier dashboard. Tender opening will follow on the same day at 11:30 AM through the EPPS system. Interested bidders can access tender documents electronically at www.bppra.gob.pk. The physical address for correspondence is opposite Night Star Complex, Jinah Town, Quetta.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid security in the form of a bank guarantee or call deposit receipt (CDR) for 2% of the bid value is correctly prepared and submitted electronically. Missing this often leads to disqualification, so double-check the bank details and submission format before the deadline.
