Tender Description
COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), a prominent public sector university located in Islamabad, is procuring the supply and installation of SMDs screens. This tender specifically targets the installation of three double-sided P-5 outdoor premium series SMD screens, each comprising 3 modules in width and 11 in height, with a minimum screen size of 3.14 ft by 5.77 ft. The project includes the supply of essential electrical components such as controllers for pole steamers, red and black fast cables from reputable Pakistani brands, PVC pipes, sockets, elbows, tape, and single pole breakers with PVC box covers. The scope also covers transportation, installation, and commissioning of the screens at the university premises.
Eligible bidders must be registered firms or companies listed on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for both Income Tax and General Sales Tax. They should have relevant experience with at least three similar contracts exceeding Rs. 500,000 each within the last five years. Compliance with technical specifications, including brand and model declarations, is mandatory. The bid security of Rs. 50,000 in the form of a Call Deposit or Bank Draft is required and must be submitted both electronically via EPADS and physically on the closing date.
The tender follows a single-stage two-envelope procedure with bids to be submitted through the e-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS) portal. The closing date for submission is **July 16, 2026, at 1100 hours**, with bid opening half an hour later in the presence of bidders. The delivery location is the Store Section behind the Main Library at CUI Islamabad. Bidders are advised to ensure all mandatory documents, including the bid security and declaration forms, are complete and submitted timely to avoid disqualification.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully follow the technical compliance requirements, especially the mandatory mention of brand names and submission of samples where required. Any deviation or incomplete documentation can lead to rejection. Also, registering early on EPADS and familiarizing oneself with the submission process can prevent last-minute issues. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for qualified suppliers to engage with a reputable academic institution and expand their portfolio in the Islamabad region.
