Tender Description
The Dawood University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Karachi, is procuring advanced laboratory equipment specifically for its Electronics Engineering Lab. This procurement includes supply, installation, testing, and comprehensive training services. The equipment set features Siemens S7-1200 PLCs with Profinet and RS485 communication, HMI panel mounts, incremental encoders, AC drives and motors with encoder feedback, servo motors with drives, and various control components such as push buttons, toggle selectors, pilot lamps, relays, contactors, and circuit breakers. The scope also includes digital volt/mA meters and potentiometers mounted on printed boards, all brand new and designed to support high-speed counter and positioning modes.
This tender is issued by the Dawood University of Engineering & Technology (DUET) located in Karachi, Sindh. The technical scope covers the full supply and installation of the listed equipment, followed by testing and a two-day training session for instructor staff to ensure proper operation and maintenance. The delivery period is strictly two months from the receipt of the supply order, emphasizing the importance of timely delivery. The supplier must provide a one-year comprehensive warranty with unconditional technical support and training at DUET premises.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and active on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). They should demonstrate relevant experience of at least five years, possess a minimum financial turnover of PKR 10 million over the last five years, and provide manufacturer authorization letters. The bid must include earnest money in the form of a pay order as bid security and a non-refundable tender fee. Bidders must also submit an affidavit confirming non-blacklisting status. The bid validity period is 90 days from the date of bid opening.
The deadline for bid submission is **July 14, 2024, 23:59:59**, with bids to be submitted online via the SPPRA EPADS portal. Original bid security and tender fee pay orders must be submitted physically at DUET's Director ICT office. The procurement committee advises bidders to ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with SPP rules 2010 (amended). Late submissions will be rejected. A practical tip for bidders is to prioritize the timely submission of original bid security and tender fee documents alongside the online bid to avoid disqualification. Additionally, suppliers should carefully review the technical specifications and warranty conditions to ensure full compliance and avoid conditional bids, which will be rejected.
This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified suppliers to engage with a reputable engineering university in Karachi, contributing to the enhancement of its Electronics Engineering Lab with state-of-the-art equipment and training services.
