Tender Description
The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) is procuring a comprehensive range of medicines and injectable items to support its healthcare services. This procurement covers a wide variety of pharmaceutical products including antibiotics, anti-malarials, analgesics, anti-depressants, injectable hormones, immunosuppressants, and many other essential medicines. The scope includes oral tablets, syrups, injections, topical creams, and specialized drugs for various medical conditions.
Suppliers are expected to provide high-quality medicines compliant with DRAP regulations and relevant health standards. The procurement aims to ensure uninterrupted supply of critical medicines for patient care at PIMS. The tender includes detailed specifications for each medicine, including brand names, dosage forms, and pack sizes.
Eligible bidders should be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and appear on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). Experience in supplying medicines to large healthcare institutions and valid PEC registration in the relevant category will be advantageous. Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) and Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) requirements will be specified in the tender documents.
The submission deadline is set for the end of June 2024, with bids to be submitted at the designated PIMS procurement office. Interested suppliers should carefully prepare their Technical and Financial Bids in accordance with the tender instructions. It is advisable to thoroughly review the detailed list of medicines and ensure compliance with all technical requirements to avoid disqualification.
A practical tip for bidders is to maintain clear and organized documentation of all certifications and previous supply contracts. This will facilitate a smoother evaluation process and enhance the chances of successful bid acceptance. Timely submission before the deadline is crucial to avoid last-minute issues.
