Tender Description
Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) Karachi invites bids for the procurement of Telecom System Satellite (iDirect) Link services for three natural gas installations on Zarghon Pipeline near Quetta. This tender is specifically for satellite-based connectivity linking SSGC Karachi Terminal Control Room and Zarghon Pipeline Valve Assemblies in Quetta, Baluchistan. The scope includes providing a satellite iDirect link as per the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), WAN network operation, maintenance, and management services for one year with an option to extend for two more years by mutual consent.
The technical scope requires bidders to supply all necessary equipment, hardware, software, and consumables including installation materials, accessories, and fuel for generators. The WAN operator must integrate existing LAN networks at Karachi and Quetta, design IP addressing schemes, prepare security architecture, and ensure end-to-end implementation and testing. Civil works for antenna installation and passive cabling are also part of the responsibilities. The satellite link must be single hop with minimal delay and operate reliably in harsh temperature ranges from -30C to 55C. The bidder must have a maintenance team stationed in Quetta and at least five years of experience providing satellite services in remote Sindh or Baluchistan areas.
Eligibility criteria include a valid PEC Category C-6 or above with specialization codes EE07, EE08, EE11(vi), and ME07(v). The bidder must be licensed by PTA for satellite services and active in the FBR Active Taxpayer List (ATL). The bid must include a fixed bid bond of Rs. 25,000 in the form of pay order or demand draft. Bids are to be submitted online via EPADS portal before the deadline.
The tender was published on 21 May 2026 with the extended closing date of 20 July 2026 at 12:00 hours. Bidders should ensure all documents including technical literature, bid bond, and signed forms are complete and uploaded on EPADS. The bid opening will be public and online. A practical tip for bidders is to conduct a site survey at their own cost prior to bidding and confirm all technical requirements and site conditions to avoid disqualification or delays. Early registration on EPADS and strict adherence to submission guidelines will improve chances of success.
